About Us...

A highly successful
Meter Asset Provider

Calvin Capital Limited is wholly-owned by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) which has over $131.1bn of assets under management.

Nearly £700 million already invested
– now actively funding smart metering

Since our 2002 inception, we have financed the procurement and installation of six million domestic meters, investing nearly £700 million. We are focusing on developing Calvin into a clear market leader, leveraging our expertise in funding and asset management, so as to be in the best position to support energy suppliers in meeting their smart meter roll-out obligations.

Consistent growth based on
successful delivery

Based in Manchester, Calvin operates across five business units, covering Finance, Commercial, Operations, Business Development and Transaction Management. We are structured so as to be able to respond to activity peaks in the business, focusing on funding provision, investment management, customer service and new contract development. Our senior management team has extensive industry experience, allowing us to create

strong relationships with clients, and we have grown the company through winning and delivering new contracts.

An experienced leadership team

Calvin is led by Jim Macdonald, formerly Commercial Director at E.ON, who was recruited to oversee the expansion of the business. Jim is supported by Sean Latus who has over 17-years experience raising project finance and equity funding and has worked across multiple infrastructure sectors both in the UK and overseas. Directors from KKR are actively involved with Calvin in terms of investment management and shaping our strategic direction. Between them they have extensive infrastructure, corporate finance and utilities experience.
